The pool screen enclosure is two stories tall and there are a couple of top screen sections that had blown out from recent storms. During the night, an owl had flown into the pool screen enclosure and could not find its way back out.

To capture and release the owl, I soaked the owl with water sprayed from a garden hose until the owl was exhausted and landed pool side. I distracted the owl by spraying water into the pool while Jack sneaked up behind the owl and covered it with a towel to grab it. We took the owl outside the pool screen enclosure and released it.

The owl was identified to be an Eastern Screech Owl.
